That's more than a taste, yeatzee, more like a heaping helping of bokeh! Those and other 1.2 shots you've been posting are fascinating, esp. the bokeh panos. Shows how a specialized tool can be, in the right hands, a spur to creativity.

This is pretty much what bokeh means. Bokeh or boke-aji, the 'taste' or 'flavor' of blur, is a term used for the rendering of the out-of-focus areas instead of the actual out-of-focus part itself.

With that said here are some shots with the DA35mm f2.8 Macro Limited where a shallow DOF is sometimes unavoidable, which isn't always a bad thing.

TOUGEFC, saw this pic on the k-5 board, very interesting. They say a pic is worth a thousand words, when I look at that I want to know what the "words behind the pic" are. lol

Udon, love the bokeh thru the trees

Thanks! And lol! I gave it a title of It Can See Me I guess that can explain the words behind the picture and paint a creepy story

wow, I shoot with this lens on a k1000 and I love how it performs wide open for film. how much of a difference does that close-up filter make? I might look into one of those...
