Very nice! I think it's better than the Sigma. What do you think?

Simon - I too am interested in this, well, interested in the question that mika asked (between DA*55 and Sigma 30)...
Thanks
Better in terms of what? Bokeh?

Yes the DA*55 is better. The DA*55 has fantastic bokeh, even when stopped down! Thanks to its 9 rounded aperture blades.
The Sigma 30mm is great too

A couple of bokeh shots with the FA*28-70mm (I have to say this is the best zoom I have ever used).

Here it was actually very very dusty (I saw afterwards), which might explain the circles and the flare:

This is more typical:

An oldie:

Thanks Joe! PP most of this on PSE and imported into Gimp and used G'MIC plugin to smooth out any further Chromatic Noise, works nicely everytime....

Posted in the "other" bokeh thread, but I've been trying to work with my FA* 24mm as it often sits unused.

Shot through a window which explains the slight distortion towards the bottom right.

Hey Rick - yeah, it's actually greener now than it was a couple months ago. Amazing what cooler temps & a little rain can do. I like this grill shot & it has some interesting oof area. Is that Vivitar lens AF or MF & how do you like it so far?
