Very nice! I have been looking for a Volna at a decent price, but no luck yet ... ... someday it will happen, J

I still have to test it extensively at daylight but it seems that this lens, although in poor shape (the rubber ring is rotating by itself etc...) is a good one, more like a vintage Nikkor than a traditional Soviet Helios, it's very sharp, contrasty and with some distortion barrel.

On my side I would like to find a Volna 1.4, like the one that came with the Almaz 102, but it seems that just one hundreds of them very made, and they are as rare as that camera.

The Almaz 103 at least was somehow mass (??) produced and I'm waiting to get one that needs CLA from ebay.

I like this, the B&W works well. Maybe I would have rotated the pic a couple of degrees ..

Beautiful - reminds me of my Dad's Christmas LP (vinyl record) covers back in the day

One with the kit lens (xposted from the other bokeh thread) - glazed shrubbery...

I was thinking in the line of having the fence plus sign straight up... done in post-processing (lightroom, photoshop or any other )

Wood Grain under the Snow

We got several inches of wet snow last night, and it made for a winter-wonder-land scene.
