I love macro shots but nature is not my only subject, tools, vintage objects, food, modelism, things you find in shops, like this one in a paintshop. That was funny because I had to ask authorisation to the (cute) manager of the whole group (not only this paintshop) and she seemed surprised about my tastes, I now have 100% access there to take shots lol.

K200D with Cosina 24mm 2.8 MC Macro close focusing lens
ISO 400, f/3.5, 1/45, just reduced a bit noise on LR.
This lens gives nice bokeh (we used to call that "lost-back : fond-perdu" in french in the 80's) where you don't see the 5-blades diaph. shape on bright points, whatever aperture.

Another one at 1/180, brush forest :

Took around 50 shots with 20 nice ones, I'll take some more with the fast Auto Chinon MC 50mm 1.7 to see, they have nice light sources in this small shop.

dew & sun ...

Mornings with the dew and rising sun are the perfect combination to get the most from my Meyer Optik Trioplan 100mm lens. When wide open at f2.8 it creates the "bubble" effect.

Never been over here before......you guys have a ton of great work here! Isn't this a big and wonderful conglomeration of Forums at PForums that have almost anything you could desire that might interest you!

Most of my shooting is through my office windows and I use a 50-500 Bigma.....the old model, though I did just get the new 50-500HSM OS model in yesterday and look forward to using it in the future.....starting today!

Most don't think of the Bigma for bokeh, but in the right light and circumstances it gives some nice bokeh for my taste.

Here are a few of the many hundreds I have where Bigma bokeh has pleased me.......

Otis liked this one, but more for his handsome face than the bokeh?

I thought the bokeh served him better here....

Birdies seem to get the best bokeh with the Bigma....

Nothing spectacular, but for a big bulky slow lens, it is often not bad in the bokeh dept.

I don't often have much to post here, but I'll be sure to come by and take a look at what you guys post...very enjoyable thread!

Best Regards!
Rupert

Here is one of my very first day shots with my new 50-500 HSM OS Bigma......it looks like the same bokeh as my old one!

Thank you Steve.....not sure it wasn't just darn good...or actually , sort of OK? I did find two of the little girl I shot yesterday that I missed editing and they have some half decent bokeh, to me?

I hope she will come back around, not only could she pose well, she could sing up a storm...and did!

Wasn't she a little cutie! Hard to believe I got all those of her at 1/00 handheld with the big ol' Bigma @500mm......she must have brought Lady Luck with her?

Regards!

These are all top notch photos --- aesthetically and technically speaking. No wonder LBA is so rabidly rampant in this forum

I like how the tiger's eyes are placed in between the blades of grass. Great composition.
