This morning's submission for the "Daily in February" challenge ... it's going to be a very, very early flower season in Poitiers this year IMHO.

CZJ 58mm f2 "T"

I got this really tiny Carl Zeiss Jena 58mm f2 "T" lens several years ago, and have not done much with it. It was attached to an excellent condition Praktica (original version) body, which still works perfectly. I decided to take a few shots to check out the lens, and it is interesting. This might make a nice portrait lens due to it's perfectly round aperture (I think 18 blades), and interesting aberrations and vignetting wide open. Here is a wide-open bokeh test taken with it mounted on my K5.

Well, I took your advice and this morning I set out an open can of Spam to attract mountain lions and bears. I tied my neighbors terrier to an oak tree....I hear giant pythons love to eat little doggies.....and I hung a bale of hay about 15 feet off the ground in the tree limbs, just in case a wandering giraffe happens by.

None of it did a lick of good. All I got was this little female Cardinal that was curious about that can of Spam. Tomorrow I'll try some Velveeta.....everyone loves Velveeta!

BTW- Some really nice bokeh shots on this page. Otis loves the lovely girl, and said he'd love to see "more" of her.......yep, I bet he would!

Regards!
