Wow, some of those are really insane, especially first and third! Remind me of those google deep view images, where everything seems kind of psychedelic. Interesting stuff

I guess PP these days makes bokeh stand out more and more. Even with the macro lens it becomes recognizable and sharp

So my Helios arrived today, but the aperture blades seem to have quite a bit of oil on them. I have contacted the seller and have been told that this is fairly typical for these lenses, but he will replace it with one without the oil if I want. I guess before I decide whether or not to send it back I'll try it out tomorrow when I have a bit of spare time. Can anyone weigh in on this? Is this typical for these lenses and should I send it back for another? Its a U.S. based seller so its not too inconvenient to send back.

In the meantime here is one from another lens suitable for a bokeh thread.

Google it, there are many threads, blogs, posts about this specific issue. Preset lenses are supposed to have some oil on them. The question is just whether it has migrated into the wrong places, if it drips, when it is enough and when it is too much oil.
I dont think its a problem, dont think its worth sending it back. But i havent seen the lens, so what do I know.
I would keep it, and maybe some years later when you have it serviced you make sure the oil is.. just right. But first look online for discussion and maybe even sample photos.

Yes, I saw a few photos and blogs via a quick google search and there are mixed perspectives...some say its fine, some say its not. Since this is my first preset lens, I thought I'd ask here. You can imagine my surprise as this is the first time I saw such a sight , but in all other respects it seems to be a fine copy...of course I won't truly know until I give it a go perhaps tomorrow. Thanks for your input.
