This is just pathetic! A squirrel brought me this and said "look at the wonderful bokeh!".

It looked familiar but not the bokeh...no wonder, they had manipulated one of my shots they took off Flickr.

They didn't even do a good job of cheating in my opinion.....you just can't trust squirrels.

Not the best bokeh...but at least this Jay was honest!

Regards!

The "unaltered" squirrel shot is great Rupert!

An old one from 2011 with the 18-55 kit lens:

Bokeh from a rare Soviet Lens, the Volna 50mm f1.8 in K mount.

Unfortunately I just had Kodak Gold, no hood so the contrast is not up to my usual shots.

Nice smooth and "simple" bokeh.

Nice shot Paul....very nice shot! Yes, squirrels are rotten little scoundrels and will cheat at any opportunity. They will also bite you if given a chance at it....

I really like that one Scorpio....little sparrows need more attention too!

These little Spanish doves are mates and they don't cheat!

This Jay will cheat a squirrel...they don't like squirrels!

Posing for the August issue of Gentlemen Squirrel Monthly...heck, for all I know it could be a damn rat in a squirrel suit......I just don't trust them anymore.

Sigma 70-300 APO Macro at 240mm f9, ISO 400 on the K-S2. Really really impressed with the clarity and detail and the 'pop' in this photo - this is the pre-DG version of the lens, and it's not a beautiful example either - there's visible haze inside the rear element and I got it for free. Even new, this lens is a real bargain, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the market for a telezoom.

I'm loving that one...the reflection is perfect too!

Regards!

Late today as the light was fading a couple of doves claimed they could decimate squirrel bokeh.....so I gave them an opportunity...and by golly, I think they weren't kidding!

I'll give the squirrels a chance to respond tomorrow, but I doubt they will want to waste their time.......or mine?

Nice shot, last year I have taken a similar pic with my Jenaflex and the CZJ Vario-Sonnar while I was stalking some geese:

These shots are more recent and were taken with the Pancolar 50mm f1.4:

Focus on the gear stick:

Minilab chop the front of this TR7, but the idea was to have the TR4 bokeh'd:

This is the same pic at f16:

BC3, GOld 200 and a P-C filter.
