Recently took a trip to the PNW region and I have a few images to share... however I still have a fair bit of photos to go through and time is limited so they'll come slowly.

From the Oregon coastal region...K-1 + *55mm, a wonderful combo

Grass at an Oregon dune

Oregon seaside cliff

Also while organizing my catalog I came across some bokeh filled oldies but goodies taken with my trusty K-01 (I still love that camera)
K-01 + DFA 100mm WR from 2 years ago (Yes, I'm a big fan of dragonfly's )

Through the office windows with the Bigma on the K1. Both handheld @ 500mm.

FF

In Crop Mode

It's the only bloom I have to shoot...wish I had a few more! If I had as many blooms as I have lazy squirrels, this place would look like a botanical garden!

Regards!

I like the FF to crop comparison.

Your squirrels look like they've had enough of the heat. I've not seen my regulars for few days. My guess is they are sticking to the woods where it's cooler.

Here's a few more blooms for you.

(SMC-K 55 f1.8. At f5.6 on a K-5)

Yep, I think you can see why I love the Crop Mode on the K1. It is perfect for web posting, while the FF shot would be better if I wanted to print a billboard sized print!

You are right.....and in the woods is also where they keep their kegs of cold beer, which probably has a lot to do with it too!

That's a nice bee/ flower shot David. I do wish I had more blooms around here but in this heat not much will stay alive in August.

Best Regards!

Interesting Image Is the red star in the center and in focus closer or farthest from the camera?

Few flower shots from trip last week

Love that last one taks!

To FF or not to FF? On the K1 you have choices....I generally prefer the Crop Mode.

FF

When you don't FF.....

For web posting it's all you need, smaller pixels make little or no difference. Faster processing too!

Thank you! The red star (in focus) is farther from the camera, the farthest is the blue one in center (out of focus).

Thanks! When we don't have blooms around, I'll pick up flowers from the store for my wife to set around the house. My daughter say's I only get them to take pictures of, they aren't really for mom.

I fully understand.......I've bought a lot of lenses for Mrs Rupert and she never uses them. In fact, I don't think she even knows she has them?

@timb64 -Fine shot!
