An extremely heavy crop on the DA*60-250 at f5 on the K3. I do not see Cedar Waxwings often so I shot this one anyway enough I did not have the Bigma with me.

That's what a heavy crop looks like on a DA* 60-250mm 2/3rd of a stop down from wide open? Yea I need one of these badly.

I'll have to vote for the squirrel, just because it looks like he is smirking.

Yeah this lens has pretty much amazed me. My only regret was not getting one sooner. I passed on the DA*300 for this lens because it better suits my overall needs. This is the uncropped version.

I agree and just sold my DA* 300mm because I didn't need it after getting this lens and modifying it to use on FF. It now does everything I need for over 100mm on the K-1 and the bokeh is quite good.

Here's a couple of handheld test shots wide open at 250mm FF under the very mixed lighting conditions of a cypress canopy along a river bank...not too shabby and I'm happy with it at least

Modified DA* 60-250mm test wide open-3

Modified DA* 60-250mm test wide open-5

A candid of my wonderful wife and travel partner as she was in disbelief over the crazy blue water of Crater Lake in Oregon...I thought it might make a nice blurred out background.
K-1 + FA77mm wide open

The squirrel thanks you! ....however, that compliment only swells their little heads, resulting in more demands to be posted here. It is a vicious cycle.....

Best Regards!

Great series! I really like the second one where the two doves are looking at each other Discussing on a plan?
Please let your squirrel know that he is welcome any time to stop in for an ice cold beer

This is Frito taken with my trusty K-01 + 100mm WR macro a couple of years ago, I made the mistake of offering him some popcorn one time and after that he was always around. He loved cashews, sunflower seeds, peanuts and yep most of all fritos (although I only gave him those occasionally as a treat). He was very territorial and always kept the other rebelrousers at bay. Unfortunately about a year ago the next door neighbor's new wife brought with her 5 cats and I have't seen him since...hopefully he didn't meet an untimely demise because I did see a squirrel one day hanging off the jaws of one of them.

Memories of Frito...

Frito the squirrel

Friendly squirrel
