Great lighting on Mr and Mrs Claus

Do you know if there is any difference between the M42(44M-4)mount Helios and the K mount (44K-4) Helios, other than the obvious.

thank you - if I remember correctly, the 44M goes back further than the K-mount, so you can get into more blades in the aperture; the K-mount only has six blades....

it would also stand to reason that the coatings would have changed throughout the production run also...

This has to be your Christmas card.

For those asking if their photo counts as bokeh... This is bokeh!

M28/3.5 at f3.5 on the K-m this morning. Even wide open this little gem of a lens is very good.

Moving into Tokyo, Cherry Blossoms in the Imperial Garden. on the Tamron 17-50mm @ F2.8

And from a different tree. I have TERRIBLE luck shooting flowers on trees, it's usually perfectly calm... until I set into place to take a shot. I had to have a friend hold the branch steady for me!

The Illinois prairies have a couple of tiny grass-like flowers, too. Blue-eyed Grass has a flower similar to your picture, pjv, but with a simpler center. Then there is Yellow Star Grass, the flowers of which stand out more from their surroundings.

Nice background, shame the big black thing in the foreground is in the way of it...
