When you have no other longer telephoto, the FA 77 will do. But you have to get really close.

Love those! How did you get that close! When I get that close to a squirrel, they always try to bite me.

"That Peanut Tree sap was here yesterday, but gone today?"

"I wish those filthy rodents were gone too...and look at that weak squirrel bokeh...pathetic!"

Thank you! The trick is to avoid giving them the impression you are stalking. Chamois is a curious animal, but they will take off immediately if they feel they are getting stalked. So I just wonder around doing my stuff, taking photos of other things, using the stove to make some coffee and apparently ignoring them. Eventually they will be interested and they will get close so you don't have to. Need a lot of patience though, took me one full day of camping on the mountain ridge to get to this point.

I think it works the same with girls also, maybe LeRolls can give you more details

Very interesting! Doesn't work with squirrels....when they start getting close to you, you'd better get the hell out of there...their intentions are never good!

I think it's more or less the same as dealing with squirrels. There is definitely some patience and trust involved but in the end it usually comes down to them wanting your nuts. I don't usually have enough nuts to go around but as always I try to do my best with what I have to work with. When everything is said and done I'm usually left feeling drained.
