This is the thread for people who are just nuts over bokeh.
Well, I love some nice bokeh and see it here often.....some is spectacular. There is no question that squirrels are nuts......and many think I am too? They could be right?

Regards!

Actually that's very nice bokeh and I like the soft diffuse lighting you got back there...what lens was that, the compression suggests a telephoto of some sort?

Excellent taks...it seems the da50/1.8 has quite a few fans here on PF and I can see why. For me the middle one again pulls just barely ahead

Thank you! The squirrel takes all the credit! The lens is the Bigma 50-500 HSM OS 4.5-6.3 It can deliver some nice bokeh at times, you just never know what you will get, but are often pleasantly surprised. It is a fun lens to use, and my most used lens by far.
Your pink bloom is stunningly perfect!

@taks - That lavender shot is just gorgeous, I really love it...one of my favorite colors too!

Such fine shots on this page already...all of them....you guys make this thread a delight to view.

Breaking News! Otis was so pleased that gda13 liked his bokeh shot that he decided to upgrade him from Pentaxian to Site Supporter with all the accompanying benefits!
It is a part of what he does in his Otis Appreciation Society to reward other Pentaxians for their efforts and thread participation.
Doesn't hurt to remember that a little love for squirrels can pay off in many ways!

Congratulations gda13! ...and keep up the good work at PF!

Regards!

To get good pictures of little stuff I get out the Macro Takumar 50 preset and I am frequently treated to nice buttery backgrounds - one from today using the K3 and OEM adapter.
