Deep DOF small aperture version of this flower posted on the bigger flowers thread. Wide aperture and focusing on the near edge of the petals really smeared the background on this version.

Some Breeze Bokeh -- translation, in the gusty wind, I can't believe that I caught any of these milkweed flowers nearly in focus!

Thanks Taks, the weather in Colorado makes my photo hikes a pleasant experience...where my wife and I live in S. FL this time of year makes it hard to want to be outside unless a beach is involved That's a nice series you got there as well...you using a zoom with those? The compression in your images works well especially with the last one.
Thank you and yes its with the DA50-135. I find longer lenses lets you choose the back ground you want to include in the shot. It works in some cases

It knows its job, staying right there until Mom comes back from feeding. Unfortunately, sometimes people will pick them up them and take them to shelters assuming they have been abandoned, when the mother is only off eating or waiting in cover nearby until the people go away. In not many more days the fawn will be following the mother, running and leaping amazingly, but when they are this new and tiny, this is what they are supposed to do. I almost stepped on one on my farm one time, and my dogs had just run right through the same area without seeing it or smelling it.

Yes, I have heard of that happening but most people here know the drill. I got a tip from the owner of the house this little one was hanging out there. I just crept up for a few shots and then slipped away as quietly as I could. The little fawn never acknowledged me although I think I saw an ear tune my way once. Hopefully no significant disturbance. This is a home turned business on Main Street so it's a reasonably active area with people coming and going and most not noticing.
