Daringly took this combo to downtown today. Was wishing I had a wide angle but got some good shots nonetheless.

The highlight of the day was when I struck up two separate conversations with two elderly gentlemen who took a genuine and surprised interest in my Pentax DSLR

Thank you

I like your shots as well. The colors and details, and that creamy bokeh. Very nice. May need to pick up one of these.

welcome and thank you too

I need to shoot more with this lens. I'm always pleasantly surprised, and I'm not sure why I find it a surprise, but the colors and contrast from it seem to have a special quality I like. It also is really nicely sharp even wide open. These were I think 2 and 1.8, but opening it up all the way to 1.4 doesn't loose anything but DoF

Love that first shot...great bokeh!

K5IIs with Sigma 17-70 2.8 - 4.5

I bought the Sigma used and at first I wasn't that thrilled with it, but the more i use it, the more I am quite pleased with it.

Crawling through the yard this morning. Bumper crop of spider webs in the grass and trees.

DFA 100mm WR at f11

Same web with the SMC-K 24mm at f2.8 (must have metered on a dew drop). Didn't feel like adjusting in PP

Back to DFA 100mm at f6.3

Found Charlotte's web in the fir tree with the SMC-K 105mm at f8. Not sure what she was trying to spell in the lower left of the web, so we had toast, instead of bacon.

Flower garden bokeh on a misty early Sunday morning . . .

Bokeh captured in my flower garden on a misty early Sunday morning at f 1.2.

KIT: Pentax K-1 with Canon-FD 55mm f1.2 permanently converted to K-mount as a reward for many years of faithful service on Canon F-1 film camera.
