Obviously, you are selecting subjects that are well enough lit, despite the backgrounds being too dark for a successful wider shot. Good work!

There were NO bushes with light blue flowers on them in the right-side background, so that has to be bits of bubble bokeh from OOF bright highlights.
Lentar f6.3 400mm preset t-mount lens, at f8.
With a minimum focusing distance of just under
30 ft., this new acquisition will not be my go-to close-up-with-bokeh lens.
Camera: K10D, iso400.
