Is that swamp cypress (Taxodium distichum), Paul?
I have planted two in our garden (first one about 20 years ago), but they grow really slowly here in our climate conditions.

Last year I saw a junco at a feeder, but in previous decades of feeder watching I had only ever seen juncos feeding on the ground below feeders.

They pretty much stay off the metal hanging feeders here, but they will land on a log I routed a pocket in for seed.
I have a couple that hang out with a flock of sparrows. I'll have to watch and see if they land on the metal feeders with their friends.

Random thought: ...a flock of sparrows... just made me check youtube for A Flock of Seagulls.

Pretty sure it is, zzeitg - very common in this area. Beautiful shots, btw!

Berries on the (poison ivy) vine, F35-80 again. This cheap old zoom always surprises me

The bright blobs in the background are some Christmas lights, but with the lens wide open and zoomed to a long FL the DOF is very shallow, so there's only a thin plane of sharpness through the flowers, and most of them are slightly "bokehed."
