I guess it's not the last one you bought
(Especially when it's painting such a lovely bokeh...)
Thanks!
It is the nineth Helios 44 in the family (all of them different models), but it won´t be the last for sure.

Thank you for your comment. I really like this one from you. Very nice And great focusing too. I don't think I could've gotten my K3 to focus on the small bud in that light. (my lack of technique )
Thanks Taks. My technique? Luck, a bit of chimping and multiple shots.

I think that quite a few of us can lay claim to that "technique"

To alternate this method you can pre-focus the camera/lens and then move the object. It only works well if the object won’t run away :-)

Some nice street shooting there btw, were you aware of this thread? People and their cameras! - PentaxForums.com
Thank you. Yes I know that thread but I haven't post there in a while.

Some 24-70 bokeh... I would say it's decent lens for portraits if need be.

Wow, I don't think I have ever managed to take a photo with that narrow a depth of field that "worked". Fantastic shot. It gives me renewed initiative to try again sometime....maybe if spring ever arrives here in the Great White North

A local semi-pro (and excellent photographer) advised me in that method. It works especially well in a studio setting where you set up camera, lights & background for photographing a captive insect, then have the insect on hand-held bit of plant and move that to achieve framing and focus. At one time in the film era, I set up a foot-button shutter release so I could use two hands to manipulate the plant + lively insect.

I caught this bud on a tree branch the other day. The bud was so small I had to manually focus the lens, hold the camera in one hand and the branch with the other

All the recent bud shots inspired me to try a few myself. I used the Riggomatic method, leaning heavily on the luck component, to capture this one. I didn't quite nail the focus, but the amazing background, the result of green foliage in front of a brick wall, made me think it might be worth posting. SMC Takumar 105 f2.8 on a Spiratone Macrobell on a Fujifilm X-T20. I hope nobody is offended by the alien body; my philosophy is that I take pictures with a lens, the body is just a capture device.

I'll follow up soon with some shots with the 645Z and my just-arrived 125mm f/2.0 cinema projection lens....
