Added to my small collection of Takumars - browsing for Pentax bodies on ebay, I came across an SP500. I wouldn't have looked twice (I already have a good SP1000 if I ever decide to shoot film again) except the lens didn't look like the expected 50 or 55. One of the pictures revealed it to be a Super Takumar 150mm f/4. I jumped over to Pentax Forums and read the generally stellar reviews of the lens and confirmed with the non-photographer seller that the lens pictured would come with the camera. I figured it was worth $20 to get a closer look, so that's what I bid, including shipping, and I ended up getting the camera and lens for $19.50. It came in today and the glass is clean and unscratched. The focus is smooth and easy, but the aperture is a little stiff - nothing I can't live with. I took a few pictures with it today, including some of the dogwood tree out my back window, against the setting sun. The bokeh is not bad. I'm surprised it is smoother and less pronounced than my 55 and 105 SMCs, but it's also giving away a stop or two. I'm looking forward to using this lens some more. On my Fujifilm X-T20 it is the equivalent of a 225mm on a full-frame camera. Super Takumar 150mm f/4 at f/5.6.
