within a couple of inches - that is the downside of the 35: if you are intending on close-focus/macro, you're going to be very close to your subject...

he did fidget a bit, but that's when I knew I was done shooting them, as I do not want to drive them away from their daytime napping spot...

Took out Carl Zeiss Ultron outside for the first time. Still waiting for the adapter to arrive, so for now I just hold it in front of the camera.

One of our resident rufous enjoys this spot, particularly in late afternoon and evening as a bug-spotting perch for daily doses of protien gathering.
With the DA*300 on K-3.
