K1 + Vivitar 80~200mm f4 + Raynox 150. Experimenting to see what this old lens would do (new old stock obtained at near-steal price). Cropping was necessary because the Raynox caused unacceptable vignetting at all focal lengths. Central sharpness is remarkably good (there is some detail on the bug, which is barely over one mm long), but DOF is very shallow, far too shallow to encompass more than a fraction of this tiny flower.

The trick is to figure out which sporangia are within focus rather than bokehed - hint: there's a bug on one that's pretty sharp, and a sporangium just above it that is probably as sharp as any.

I had no schooling. At least in philosophy.

But what I've found for myself is a lot of it depends on the mood I'm in at the time. One day I will scroll past someone's image without liking it. A couple of days later while looking for where I left off I'll look at someone's shot and like it. Thinking to myself "how did I miss that?"

Just did some experimenting with a, new to me, acquired Ketnor Digital Super Wide 0.42 AF Macro Lens adapter on the only lens I had it will fit without a filter ring reducer my Lensbaby Sweet 35. This is what I got using a discolored leaf and the remains of a flower as focal points

Sporangia? They look like the pods of an alien life form that is invading. Nice shot though! Just strange looking flowers. Are they aquatic?
