We have a restaurant called Allium. I always wondered what it meant
Garlic is a member of the allium family I believe. that could have something to do with it, and the flower is pretty and bold looking.

The allium (bulbs sold as "giant allium") flower ball is about 2.5 to 3.0 inches in diameter. They are quite impressive when in bloom.
Great work filling the frame with the flower, having the whole flower in focus and back ground nicely blurred all in one shot

The combination of sharp vs bokeh, brighter vs darker, and yellow/orange vs green really makes this flower pop out against the background.

Dandelion or something similar

It's basically all bokeh, but I really liked it...

Pentax MX with SMC-A 50mm f1.4 wide open on Fuji 200.
Scanned by the local lab.

The DFA* 50mm comes out, the DA*55 1.4 comes on sale for 499 CAD, less than 400 USD< actually cheaper than I paid for my broken FA 50. 1.7.

Of course, it's not what everyone is talking about, but, what the heck.

The ƒ1.4 shot that I actually preferred to the ƒ2 and ƒ5.6 images, a nice flat flower that doesn't need much DoF
