Experimenting with a Super Takumar 150 f/4. Mounted on my Fujifilm X-T20 crop-sensor body, it is the equivalent of a 225 in Full-Frame. This shot was taken with the lens on a 12mm extension tube. The combination allows close to true macro, but leaves plenty of room between the camera and the subject. Some focus adjustment is possible using the lens' helical. I plan to do some tests to find the closest and most distant focusing points using this set-up. I was surprised at the image quality of the old Takumar, but not at all surprised at the beautiful colors. Nothing makes colors as pleasing to my eye as a Takumar in combination with Fuji Velvia emulation in post-processing.
Edit - I did some testing to find the closest and most distant focus points with this lens on a 12mm tube and posted the results today, 10/6/18, at my site, miscellany.neuseriversailors.com. Short version, at closest focus, distance from subject 45 inches, field of view 5 inches across. At infinity, distance from subject, 85 inches, field of view 11 inches.
