Just for fun today...

I pulled a sheet of ice out of the "bird bath" (9 x 12 alum cake pan for winter) this afternoon, and burned a hole through with a heated wire.

The ice is roughly 9" x 12" x 1/4", and thought I'd string it up to a spare shepherds hook in the yard.

Daytime shot for reference

and later this evening...

As much as I like the first one, the second one is n'ICE'st !

Very nice, but exif says K-7...? Also, I find quick-release wingnuts easier to use than traditional hex nuts. ymmv
Doh...yes of course. I am so used to writing K-3 now that I forget about my poor old K-7 and all the great pictures it took. Kinda like I will continue to write 2018 in the coming weeks

No "bokeh balls" but the M50 1.7 and it's sliver of DOF wide open made the rug in the background in this one pleasing to my eyes. I should have stopped down just a bit more to try and get his nose in focus too K-70, 1/100s, iso 6400, no flash in a pretty dark room.

I'm not sure if it even counts as bokeh when the entire truck this reflective tape decorated ladder is attached to disappears.

Blooms and bokeh - perennial combination. Very shallow DOF here, only the edges of a few petals are really sharp.
