A gorgeous lady taken by a “Gorgeous Lady” (Pentax-A* 200mm F2.8 ED).

BK from our garden pond with kit lens, pretty good kit lens. I generally wind up with this kit lens when it is raining, and I don't want to rig up the 645Z with the 90 or 55 AW lenses. When I take the 18-55, I am always reminded what a good lens it really is, and start wondering why I have invested so many $$ in other K-mount lenses, and then I try the limited trio, the 31-43-77, and then I remember why.

KIT: K-1 and kit lens SMC Pentax-DA L 18-55mm f 3.5-5.6 AL WR.

Yup, I am a big fan of the 18-55 (still have one) and then I bought the 16-85.....but like you said, primes remind you how even better a shot can be...D-FA 100 macro and DA14mm being two favs right now
