Sweet lenses, those two. . . . Thanks for posting those, utak.

Pepperberry, The Fiestaware reminds me of the couple we bought this old house from. The woman was intent on painting the various rooms in different Fiestaware colors. The kitchen is green apple, the upstairs bathroom was that sorta burgundy color--we called it Amityville red. It's now a bluish green or greenish blue, roughly the color of the stalks of British Soldier Lichen (Cladonia cristella, I think it is Cladonia cristatella). Close, anyway.

Anyway . . . here are a couple images of day lilies from late afternoon today. The lens was what was on the K-3ii, the M 100/2.8; I think the aperture was f/4, but I was really tired when I made these, so I can't be sure. These are crops, but I guess you can tell that from the aspect ratio. . . .

That first one, in particular, is absolutely stunning. Much post? (EDIT: I just ordered a 44-2 and an adapter!)
Thank you and congratulations. Yes, the Helios 44-2 photo did have some contrast and color boost. I did most of this in-camera (K-1), as it was taken on holiday. The good news is that the lens is centre sharp wide open and the raw/jpeg images can handle quite a lot of pp - which they normally need, but I think you'll find the results are worth it. It's a fun lens.

Thank you! Here are two more from interesting bokeh lenses with the K-1; both radio-active, like the Pancolar above. A Tomioka Auto-Revuenon 55/1.2 and a Yashica Yashinon 50/1.7

Is my imagination or there is a hint of swirly bokeh in this Canon FD 55mm f1.2 when I shoot open wide?

Canon F-1n, FD55mm f1.2, Portra 160.

Thanks, but you'll have to fight my daughter for them. I suspect she'll have them in a bowl as soon as they turn red.

Thanks,
I had no idea of the brand. It was hanging on the wall of the house I stayed in vacation.

The rose with the blue picket fence and black-eyed susans in the background caught my eye. I took several shots and this is the one I liked the best. SMC Takumar 55mm f/2 at f/4, 1/300s, ISO 400, Fujifilm X-T20 body.
