I've never heard of the go-away-birds, but . . . what an absolutely cool name! I checked them out on wikipedia after I read your post. . . . .
FYI

the book I am using to help me id the birds I photographed in Tanzania is this one:

The Birds of East Africa - Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi
Terry Stevenson & John Fanshawe the 2002 edition

Stevenson, T. and Fanshawe, J.: The Birds of East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi (Paperback) | Princeton University Press

it lists the White-bellied Go-Away Bird, the Bare-Faced Go-Away Bird, and Grey Go-Away Bird

and also the help of the forum when I am confused

It made me think of the wind-up bird in Haruki Murakami's novel. . . . The name, that is, not anything else.

Thanks for sharing that, Noel.
You are welcome. If you can, try listening to them (via Google/You Tube
) rather interesting. The urban dweller have a more distinct Go awaraay.
