Nice composition and soft colors, a soothing image.

You and millions of other casual botanizers. Just call them "GDYC's" which is the term used by many professional botanists - told so by two people, the ecologist who joined the faculty of my department, and my daughter who can real off the scientific names of more plants than I can count.

Did they say what does GDYC stands for? Honestly curious.

G-D D-MN YELLOW COMPOSITE. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of species and varieties, and like little boxes made of ticky-tacky, they all look just the same. I should add: sometimes they are called just DYC's and I don't know of any even approximate count of how many yellow-colored composites there are, but the family (Asteraceae - formerly Compositae) has over 39,000 species, a large number of which have flowers that are yellow.
