BK from a survivor

This clematis (Ville de Lyon) has survived several freezing nights and has continued blossoming.

We do have a sort of pinkish trillium in some spots. A late in the season sample...

Nice, David! I don't think I've seen a trillium like that one--very cool, and sweet lighting, too!

Thank you! Little patches of sunlight all around the woods that day, and this one was just calling to me. Spot metered on the bright flower, and nature did the rest.

.I have a bed of trilliums on a west-facing hillside on my property, and have been observing them for about the past 40 years. Our trilliums start out white, and some of the blossoms seem to change to light and medium pink as the individual blossoms age. I am not convinced that we have both naturally white and naturally pink ones, but I may be wrong,

That could have been the case for the pink one I photographed then. It was definitely an older bloom.

I'll have to be a little more observant next Spring. And I'm going to hunt for a red one as well.
