Funny - I revisite the Zuiko thread to add a few shots that I did not share there previously... I see some old posts about modding the OM mount to anM42 mount (basically replacing the original mount with a flanged adapter).

For me, my solution was much easier. my EOS was about $50 and it does photos well with the OM adapter (without added glass).
I agree. Third-party adapters that add more glass to the mix . . . not for me. That seems a quick and easy recipe for degraded IQ. I think there's at least one such adapter for using Nikon F-mount lenses on Pentax, but buying a Nikon body seems so much wiser to me.

Fortunately, there are gazillions of m42 and K lenses out there for Pentax bodies. . . . :-)

Pepperberry inspired me with his ornaments and EBC Fujinon 55/3.5 macro to make some with my copy of the lens today. The first three were made at f/3.5, while the last one was at f/5.6. Shutter speeds were 1/40 s. for the fox, 1/50 s. for the two cat images, and 1/15 s. for the train. All at iso 1600 with the K-3ii. (I think the train is the only ornament of mine on the tree--except for the "space cat" that sits atop it, which is a cardboard cat covered with aluminum foil with a pair of googly eyes. At least I think I'm the one that made the space cat, but maybe I didn't. . . . The rest of the ornaments are from my wife, her family, and our son.)

The little wooden train is the best (IMHO).
