Ha! That's pretty funny, simple! I'm glad my thoughts about the Northern Lights weren't too off-base.

I think the "Aurora" bokeh came from the far side of the filter's inside paper that was above the grounds.

Who knew coffee filters could be so beautiful. . . .

Bee bokeh. I can't recall the name of this plant, but the honey bees absolutely swarm it when it blooms.

This one is Cogon grass (Japanese blade grass). It's invasive and will take over a lot of area in short order if not controlled, but the bees love it.

Not really a bokeh shot, but the result for us
Is that from your apiary, simple1?

Yes, we had 8 hives but lost them a while back during a hurricane. Other priorities have kept us from rebuilding so, for now, we let a local honey grower keep bees on our place in exchange for honey.

I wish they had a posted menu during the BBQ evening meals at a place we stayed in Namibia. I sampled some kind of gazelle - springbok as I recall -, zebra, and warthog. Zebra was the best, made me understand why the French regard horse as a special delicacy. Warthog had plenty of flavor, but it was chewy.

Background bokehed by a Vario-Elmar 100~400mm @ 400mm. A big zoom such as this is rarely good at bokeh, and in this image the bokeh is definitely nervous and somewhat distracting.
