Old-fashioned ornamental Mahonia bealei has escaped cultivation and naturalized all through Piedmont North Carolina. I found this one in the park near my house, and the bright yellow-green flowers drew my attention. The bees enjoy these early blossoms and the birds like the large purple seeds that develop in the summer. SMC Takumar 55mm f/2.

Your pool halls are very different from ours. Even the FA 77 couldn't make much of fat blokes with beer guts :-) Great subjects, beautifully done Aaron.

Even at f8, the DA 20-40 can turn a spiky alien into lovely coloured lights. (Yes that's a second Australian Jewel Spider in the background.)

On a totally different note . . . I had my K-3ii and K 35/2 out the other day and got this photo of Noodler's Ink bottles. Noodler's makes great fountain pen inks; the brown ink in the photo has a rich hue and flows really well (better than Noodler's #41 Brown, for sure). I'm pretty certain this photo was made at f/2. . . .

Ah. Don't know why, but the attachment wouldn't upload--"Page not found--404." Hmm.

Well . . . at least y'all know about Noodler's Inks now. . . . If I manage to figure out the problem, I'll post the photo later, too.

Try removing the apostrophe from "Noodler's" in your photo caption (= change it to "Noodlers"). After getting a number of 404 error messages, I discovered that was the problem.
