Hi there, thank you for the compliment. The little succulent sits in a dry spot that needs hand watering every three days or so. Gets afternoon sun only and no direct sun for much of the year.

Well, the menu changed a bit from last night.

Went with waffles instead of the french toast. Topped with chopped bacon, butter and maple syrup.

All those food images made me think of . . . coffee. And my newly-purchased kitchen appliance, a roughly 70-year-old Peugeot grinder. I've got three other Peugeots, but one of them is a spice grinder (nutmeg) and the other two are a little newer than this latest one--but they don't grind as well as this one. I'd kinda given up grinding to protect my wrist and elbow, but now, with the pictured Peugeot, I can grind again!

The photos were made with my K-3ii and EBC Fujinon 55/3.5 macro at various settings (f/8, I think, mostly). . . .

Background was really overexposed in an attempt to get some detail out off the magenta buds when shooting into the sky. So I desaturated the blues and aquas and the hidden bubble field popped up. Spiratone Plura-Coat 24mm at 2.8 near mfd. Sort of sci fi there and a bit creepy.
