K-3ii, A 50/2.8 macro, f/8 or f/11. . . .

Praise for the preceding set of images for meaningful use of bokeh. It isn't just a nice soft background for a flower, rather it contributes significantly to the story of the image. It creates context and helps us engage with and understand better the circumstances of the primary subject.
I almost always strive to give the background some meaning so it's nice that somebody noticed

Thanks Hattifnatt, i got the impression you have a thing with headphones. From the first image I now think your interests are not the headphones.
I have a thing for headphones, not to take pictures of them but use them for listening music. Not quite an audiophile but I do love some quality headphones. It just happens last summer I took a lot of pictures in this place called J'ai Bistrot where they have a lot of silent parties (the music comes from wireless headphones) so expect some headphones in my pictures.

More FA 77 bokeh:

No, just me. I was thinking about Bradbury's story about the automated house and its demise the other day, though.

And I did think of John Wyndham's triffids (Day of the Triffids), but only after making the photograph and looking at it in Lightroom. Mainly, I had an impulse to involve the 404 in a photograph. (I miss my Peugeot 404, a lot, but none of my die-cast 404s has ever developed a vapor lock. Then again, the die-cast versions haven't once helped me get from point A to point B, either--except, of course, in my imagination. . . .)

Cool photo..."Day of the Triffids" for sure. I haven't thought about that book, since high school (1989).

I may have to dig out some old toys for some photos too.

I've posted some images of single ants, but here's an entire nest that's been constructed along the border of bokehland.
