Thought I'd try a shot going from sharp on the right into bokeh on the left. Because most occidentals read left to right, this pattern would probably work better with sharp at the left.

you know as well as anyone what rules are for....

Anyone have any good bokeh shots from the DA 21mm?

bokeh really isn't the DA 21's forte - it's possible, but not always pleasant....

Spring buds. K3 + HD DA 55-300 mm f/4-5.8 ED WR @ 260 mm FL and f/16

I had to use manual-focus to achieve sharpness where I wanted it. The K3 was tripod-mounted, ISO 200, 1/60 sec @ f/16 with this marvelous zoom lens.

That's a beautiful dog, but I must laugh at myself () because at first glance I thought: "that's a strange-looking shaggy goat."
My wife discovered this dog and gave me the hint. Great subject I immediately thought. When I showed the image to my son he also laughed.

That bokeh actually looks way more creamy than what I'm used to from Fuji (always kind of mechanical if that makes sense, not organic). I love it! Thank you!

I shoot Fuji, too... it depends on the lens;. I've seen plenty of smooth bokeh from both of my Fuji bodies...

I've used the 35 f/1.4 - a bit eh on bokeh, 35 f/2 - again eh on bokeh but actually a bit nicer than the 35 f/1.4, and the 23mm f/2. Honestly the best quality I've got from Fuji is from the X100F, which I'd love to just purchase on the side someday, but not as my main camera.

I don't shoot Fuji lenses on my Fuji bodies, though - almost all film-era glass for the X-bodies.....

The fringed polygala (AKA gay wings) are not up yet this year. For this one from another Spring I focused just on the little fringed tip of the nearest blossom.
