But myself on the other hand.. I'm only 2 hours from Silverstar.. Next time you come back to go skiing you'll probably head my way anyways.. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a better hill than Silverstar for sure.. but I have had lots of fun riding Silverstar over the years.

Did Revelstoke for a day while I was staying at Silverstar this year, it's a great mountain and those drops are awesome. But I kinda like the variety all in one place at Silverstar...

Most of the times I use primes, but if needed, the Zooms gives me all I need

Been using my DA18-135 a bit lately, I like how it handles

I don't understand why some give it a bad rap, I did hold back on purchasing it for a while, but really I'm quite satisfied with it.

This one appears a little soft though....

This thread obviously needs to be revived, way to many 18-135 questions on the forum.

I was out yesterday with just the 18-135 and no macro, but the 18-135 focuses pretty close, so I thought I'd see what I could pull off. These are all very small flowers, I though it did quite well.

Yea I don't know why this lens is getting such bad rep. It's my go-to lens when I am out and need to pack light. Ever since I got the lens maybe 50% of my shots ended up using it. Here are just a few example of what turned out well for me, although they have been posted in other sections of the forum.

Mine seems to be sharp in close, but not so sharp farther out. I wonder if it is my photographic technique.

Could be. This was shot at ISO 80, 18mm, using the 18-135mm WR, aperture priority, f/16 @ 1/100 sec. Everything from foreground to distant formations are darn sharp. Be sure to stop down to get plenty of depth of field, and focus carefully on the objects farther away.

Re-inforcing it's reputaion as a great walk around lens. Paddling with clients I often don't have time to change lenses. I started the day with the DA 18-135 and it never came off the camera.

Cross post from post your photos and the Algonquin park group.
