31mm or 43mm for K10D..?

I am thinking to get a wider angle prime after I got the 100mm Marco, I am wondering which one is more useful as a normal range... I heard 31mm is like "The lens" but the price is also quite deep.. anyways just want to hear from you guys

Thanks
Vic

SMC Pentax-FA 35mm F2 AL I think that would be just fine.

If you happen to own the 18-55mm kit lens why not put it on, and zoom it to what you want.
I believe that it has the scale on there somewhere, or the photo info will tell you what size it's at.
Then you can just order the closest available lens.

I would agree with this.. Much cheaper than the limiteds, and still a very very good lens. Unless you have the money to spend, then of course the 31mm is the true 'classic'

This is a good idea. Get a copy of Exposure Plot, and see where your most used FL is.

If it is in the 30-35mm range, the 31 limited just can't be beat. However, the FA35 f2.0 is so good that I do not feel I need to go for the extra $$$ of the 31 limited.

Otherwise, the 43 limited or the FA50 f1.4 are also excellent choices. in that focal range.

If you want me to take a pick, 31 ltd is no brainer.

A lot of hype about Fa 43 ltd. I prefer the performance of 31 ltd
