F 35-70

Hello,
I'm about to bid on a 35-70 to match to my SF1 body that I purchased from a forum member. The lens review shows a black model. However, the one I'm about to bid on is gray. Obviously there two models. The gray one has orange lettering. Would the gray model rank as well as the black one?

I think the F series lenses were all gray, but a bad photo or processing can easily make them look black.
