It's not my entire collection, and I certainly don't stand a chance against "The King"! Some of my favorite gear....

First, the very stylish MZ-S with the 77mm Limited:

First, the K10D and the FA* 80-200/2.8 (forgive the harsh lighting please):

Brothers in arms:

FA* 200/4 macro:

Drum roll please...

My favorite rendition of "Pentax Bling" - I though you might like a close to life-size image of my K10D and FA* 300/2.8 and a few light drops of rain back in May:

Cheers,
Marc

No, I don't mind your posting my gear list here. As you may imagine, it's daunting to consider how to set it it all up for a meaningful photograph. I suppose that I will eventually get around to arranging my gear in some sort of logical subgroups so that the size of each is not too large. Maybe someday...
Really looking forward to seeing your collections, Jim. I guess you can use the DA1017 FE lens to take a pano of your house

I'm drooling, Marc ..., especially on this one.

Hopefully I'd get one of these someday, when my kids can go out shooting around with me

Four lenses and two bodies. Now here's a cautionary tale - you can currently buy all 45 of my lenses combined for less than those 6 items.

(Of course, you've got some legends there Marc.)

Hi Sean!

Understood and a very good point about price. I agree with you on that... I've got a couple of $30 -$40 lenses that take great images.

BTW, these lenses were purchased with my bonuses last year (very good year!)... so there wasn't a lot of pain in financial terms...

Cheers,
Marc

Here's my collection of Pentax lenses, shot with my K10D using a Sigma 28-80.
left to right, SMC 200 f/2.5, DA 50-200, DA 14, FA 20-35, and DA 18-55.

Not the sharpest picture, but you get the idea.

And frank/35mmfilm_user, for the record, I'm so jealous

Frank, you might be the only person I've seen that actually has one of the Limited K10D Grand Prix cameras. I love the brown leather wrap on those, but can't justify the price for my own uses. Very nice lens collection too by the way.

Cheers,

Greg

I would post my collection now except I'm busy....yeah, that's it, I'm busy.

I put it all together and post mine in say, 5 years.

I'll avoid taking photos of it, but my gear is a humble collection compared to most here:

K10D & grip
-DA 14mm
-DA* 16-50
-FA 43mm ltd
-FA 77mm ltd
-Tamron 70-300 LD Macro (which will be replaced by the 50-135 in the next few months)
-FA* 400mm f/5.6
-MX, M 50 f/2 and a Kiron 75-150 f/4 which I haven't used in several years.

I also had the MZ-S & grip & an FA* 24mm f/2.0 but parted ways with them to get the 16-50.

Ummm…how bout just a list? I’m not sure any of mine measure up to the plethora of beauties that have already been posted…and I don’t have a picture of them anyway.

K100D
SMC Pentax M 50mm f1.7
Sears Multicoated Auto 135mm f2.8
Focal MC Auto 135mm f2.8
Soligor Tele-Auto 300mm f4.5
SMC Pentax DA 18-55mm AL f3.5-5.6
Sigma Zoom 60-200mm f4.0-5.6
Vivitar Macro Focusing Zoom 70-150mm f3.5
Vivitar MC 70-150mm 2x Matched Multiplier
Sigma DL Zoom 70-300mm f4.0-5.6

I think I got the entire kit over several months (since the beginning of the year, til about August I think), for probably the price of ONE of the nice * lenses up there.

Hi Marc (35mmfilm_user)

Not being a previous Pentax convert, there are obviously a ton of lenses that I've never encountered before. Looking at the photograph of your FA* 300/2.8, I was slight intrigued by all the auxilliary apendages sprouting from the bodywork. I think I've worked out the purpose of the ones which are intended to support a carrying strap and also the locking collar to enable the body & lens to be rotated to the desired position, but what does the one nearest the bayonet mount do ?

Best regards
Richard
