Based on what I have:

15/4 (DA Limited)
24/2.8 (K)
31/1.8 (FA Limited)
50/1.2 (A)
50/2.8 macro (FA)
85/1.4 (FA*)
100/2.8 WR macro (DFA)
50-135/2.8 (DA*)

Not sure what I'd change if I were tweaking it with additional purchases. I might subsitute a FA20 for the FA50/macro since I already have the 100 macro and wouldn't mind something AF between 15 and 31. Maybe then I'd swap the K24/2.8 for a K85/1.8 and then swap the FA*85 for an FA*250-600... you know, just to cover the long end

I've italicized lens I already own:

K 28 f3.5 (best landscape lens I've ever used)
M 20 f4
A 50 f1.2 (prefer the K version, but this will do)
F* 250-600 f5.6
FA 28 f2.8 soft
FA* 200 f4 macro
FA limited 77 f1.8
DFA 100 f2.8 macro WR
DA 12-24 f4
DA limited 35 f2.8 macro
DA* 300 f4

To be entirely honest, I'm not sure that I would prefer this kit to what I have already. The restriction of one lens to each series is far too onerous. My real LBA preference would be to load up on DA, DA* and K series lenses.

Only one from each series?... this is going to be hard.

Ok, so this list is not at all what I would really want but a list that would want under the rules stated.

A15/3.5
FA20/2.8
M28/3.5
FAltd43/1.9
K50/1.2
FA*85/1.4
A*135/1.8

Anything without aperture ring isn't really interesting so I'll just leave it at that.

Alas the 35mm would be missed. But otherwise it does seem quite nice looking at it.

I think some of the posts have misunderstood that they can't use the same type or era of lens.

simply saying one for each type of era of lens.

Interesting observation, well I thought so, the number of primes listed so far by folk on their lists, far outweigh zooms.

Maybe I'm already on the right lines then.

No need to restict yourself to the lenses you already own, unless you consider them to be part of your "dream team"

Does it mean game over when one has all?
Game over? No. LBA over? Perhaps, but that's probably crazy talk anyway...

I'm not sure but I don't think you can use Pentax TCAF 1.7x with DA*200, because it doesn't have SDM pins?
I hear that these are compatible. You focus the lens manually to the approximate range of the subject ("roughly in focus"), then the TC takes over the focusing duties, relying on its own screwdrive AF mechanism.

This is entirely arbitrary on my part to add a degree of challenge to the game. I got hooked on Pentax during the digital era (the K10D baited me), so I first learned about the DA, DA Ltd and DA* lenses. I soon gained an appreciation for the reputed quality of previous lens series. I've also noticed that certain lenses from each series seem to be recognized as the best of the series, although not usually unanimously. So, rather than looking for opinions about the best lens of each series, I thought it might be interesting to think about the best lens line-up that could be created from the different Pentax lens series.

Good one! Can I have a do-over? I would totally add this lens to my fantasy lens line-up for birding.

Can I add Pentacon Six and tilt adapter in the line since Pentax does not have this type?

I have (almost) all in K/M/A, but not much in A*/F/FA/DA/DA*, non in Ltd

As for selection of one of K lenses - I just simply can't select one of 15/28sh/50f1.2....
