If you could tell Pentax to make one lens it doesn't make now, what would you have them add?

My choice: DA*70-200mm f/2.8 with internal zoom and internal focus.

I can second that (as I mentioned in my review of the Sigma 70-200mm)!

I'd also add a DA* 85mm F1.4 [IF] DC WR to the list- I'd buy that in a heartbeat to replace my FA*.

Were to start? Sigma makes a 17-70mm f2.8 but I would like to see Pentax make a DA* 17-70 f2.8 because it would be WR.

24mm shift lens and a wide shift for the 645d.
Don't need to be fast, just Sharp!

I'd love a rectilinear DA 20mm tilt/shift for landscapes (w/ a hartblei-style rotator), since they already offer most everything else I want.

But just to pour cold water on myself and the poster above, convincing any camera manufacturer to make tilt/shift lenses these days is phenomenally tough... just ask Nikonians.

I would like to see pentax issue more in long prime lens , perhaps DA*400 or even 500.

SMC Pentax-DA 120-400 4.5-5.6 ED [IF] DC WR for retail at $550 (i.e. the perfect 18-135 compliment). The DA 55-300 is great, but the extra reach, DC, and WR would be phenomenal.

Agreed, a DA 400 f/4 at a decent price would make me happy.

I'd buy this.

I'd add a $100 DAL 50mm 1.7.

I'd buy the 85mm that Adam wants as well, and I'd really like to see an updated (black preferably) version of the FA* 24 2.0, maybe even make it a little faster-1.8 or so?

DA* 24 f/1.7 or a DA 135 f/3.5 ltd would make me happy

Edit: Damn Jamie S you beat me to it!
