I'll get some comparison shots from my Kx later tonight, but right now here are a few scanned shots from my film camera (Dakota RZ-2000) with the Vivitar f1.7 50mm.

Here we go

Here are the promised comparison images. I didn't have any fancy chart, so these are 100% crops of a newspaper.
I also tossed in one from my Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 just as a reference.

First is Pentax-M 50mm f2 @ f2
Second is Vivitar 50mm f1.7 @ f2
Third is Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 @ 50mm & f2.8

All are ISO400 under tungsten light, no flash.

And here's a pic of my tube amplifier with the Vivitar 50mm wide open at f1.7

Charles.
Nice. SE or Push Pull? That looks like four KT88s, so it's pretty beefy for a tube amp if in PP.

You can find the M 50 1.7 shipped for 50, easily.

I mean, for 80 dollars you can buy the A 50 1.7 (then you can use AV mode), so I would not buy any of the lenses you just listed...

Unless the vivitar has an A setting.
I would agree. If you pay more than $50 for either non-A lens, it should come attached to a K1000. You can even get the A version of the F2.0 attached to a camera for around 80 dollars.

It's a Yaqin/Yaoin MC-100B hifi tube amp, and it has both Triode (30W) and Ultralinear (60W) modes. True dual monoblock design. Very sweet sounding, all for under $800 shipped. I'm running Chinese KT88's because one of my Teslas blew and I haven't replaced them yet. (Prob going Gold Lion repros this time). Sylvania "Chrome Dome" s6n7's and EH 12AX7's round it out. Mated to a Yaqin/Yaoin MS-12B phono stage, a Pro-Ject turntable, and a pair of Cerwin Vega VS-150's. It's my "budget hi-fi" system, and I must say it sounds pretty damn awesome -- especially considering I have less than $1500 into it.

You obviously haven't heard about LBA. $40? Buy them all.
