If you could only choose 3 lenses for a wedding, which would they be?

I think I would go with the DA* 16-50mm f2.8. DA* 50-135mm f2.8, and SMC-P FA 50mm f1.4

I do the same.
2 bodies may be. one each zoom, and FA for low light.

DA12-24, FA31, DA*50-135 (as long as it doesn't die out on me).

DA14, FA35, FA*85. Problem is that I only have two bodies for the wedding.

edit: Of course I'm only picking out of lenses I own. If I owned FA31, I'd replace the FA35 with it.

As you said, have at least one fast prime, and take some extension tubes as well for shots of the rings and so forth.

Of my lenses, I'd take the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 and the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8. I might stick the 43mm or 77mm ltd in a pocket (probably the latter.)

In my ideal world: Fa31, FA43 and FA77.
In my world I'd go for the m28, VL40 and VL58.
I've done three weddings in the film days with 2 bodies.
One body with the m28, one with the m50/1.7 and
a m75-150. If I would have had the m85 those days I'd
chosen the 28,50,85 combo. Or 35,50,85 if I had a 35.

I would use DA *16-50, DA *50-135, and DA *55. I could conceivably replace the 55 with the DA 70, but I would be concerned that I would lose the extra stop and a half of light gathering (although I usually shoot the 55 at f2 and the 70 at f2.4).

If I am the one tasked with preserving this event, I'm not going to limit myself to X number of lenses, and I'd use at least 3 bodies. From my own store of lenses, though, I'd probably go with these three:

DA 17-70 (Sub the DA* if I owned it)
FA 77
VL 40 Ultron F2 or DA 40

However, in reality, I would add to my bag, in this order:

SMC K 135 /2.5
Cosina 50/1.2
DA 12-24
FA 35/2
Kiron 28/2

DA15mm LTD, FA31mm LTD, A*85/1.4.
Not ideal, but it would work well enough.
