Tamron SP 17-35

Hi Everyone,

I have a Tamron 28 -75 and so far really like the lens, it is a good happy medium for me. I have found a Tamron 17 -35 2.8 - 4 and was wondering what peoples thoughs on it are. I figure between these two lens I will have close to the quality (maybe) of the 16-50 and wanted peoples input.

Thank You, K

Pretty pointless focal range on a DSLR. Budget? I'd vote grab a 16-45, few of them going in the marketplace recently.

If you need fullframe capabilities - grab it while you can, you won't regret.
IMO it worth twice the price I paid for it.

I use this lens (for Canon) and on DSLR it is wide to standard (26-52), and on analog SLR it is super wide to wide zoom (17-35) - not bad. Is very sharp in the middle of frame; on full frame sharpnes on the borders is fair from aperture 5,6.

Well he's only got a K10D, so I still say there's many more suitable lenses out there.

Hey SMF,

I would be interested in knowing you ideas of what would be a good alternative. To fill my < 28mm gap. The 16-45 would cover this as well but have heard the CA is a pain but wanted to ask.
