Basikal, I have unearthed the information about the Teds special on the Sigma 14/2.8, not that its much use to you as its all history now:

Brett St Pierre alerted the Aussie Pentaxians to this deal on May 2, 2007. It appears the webpage for the deal existed till March 28, 2011. I think Teds removed it that day after you contacted them for the lens.
My copy also had the same focusing problems that Brett described. In my case I was able to rectify the focus issue with CR Kennedy's help along with the focusing issues of my DA* 16-50.
Brett and most others that got this lens did not have much luck with getting the focus issues fixed, I think they sold the lens. So beware that even if you find a used copy it may exhibit the focus issue.

Whatever lens you get, ensure it supports full frame. Theres hope yet....
