From Pentax (currently in production) in the autofocus wide prime range you have a choice of
- DA 14 f/2.8
- DA 15 Limited f/4
- DA 21 Limited f/3.2

There are other 3rd party options also including fish-eye lenses.
And other older pentax manual focus pentax lenses.

Get a DA15 or FA20 (I have both). Nice colors, especially with the DA15. Also, the FA20-35 is good, and the new Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens looks very interesting. I'm generally not a Sigma fan, but it gets a good review here, even from a Sigma doubter:

Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens 203109 B&H

I cover this range (actually a little wider) with the DA10-17, but it's a fisheye. It also gives nice color, approaching that of the DA15.

are you sure you want a wide prime for portraiture? Usually a focal length between 50-135 is used. And Pentax sells a great zoom that covers that exact range with prime lens performance, the DA* 50-135/2,8

That shot is from a full frame canon 5d with a 24mm lens @ f/1.8.
To get the same fov on a pentax you will be looking at a 16mm lens but none have a wide aperture as f/1.8 .

I think my Sigma EX 14/2.8 is capable of that shot.
