Indeed, but with birding there's not much I can do about the situation. Branches are pretty much a given, as is the lighting (I don't have loads of time to wait in a shelter for my birds to appear. So I want my pictures as good as possible in any circumstances).

Here, I'll disagree a bit: there's a fair a bit one can do about situation by picking the shots.
