HANIMEX 24mm f2,8

I know it is not very reputable lens maker. This one is not too bad. Maybe a bit boring in color and contrast.
It has some kind of wiped haze inside on one the elements. My repairman guessed it to be the factory fault. Moreover the lens looks like never used.
I paid £33 with shipping, but cleaning would cost even more. What you think is it worth the effort.

First shot is f16, next two f2,8, the lens itself shot with Pentax DA 16-45

Hanimex was a marketer, not a lensmaker. I think their reputation is something like Porst -- many average products, some crud, some gems. I suspect that for any brand, a 24/2 would be considered a premium lens. I haven't seen bad ones. A few months ago I paid >US$150 for a Vivitar-Kiron 24/2 that had been CLA'd recently. If you're not satisfied with the results from yours, a cleaning would NOT be an extravagance. I doubt that 24/2's will lose value anytime soon.
