Who makes the Quantaray (house brand of Ritz/Wolf) lenses? They look much like Tamrons, but, whatever manufacturer supplies them, are they as good as the brand-name versions of the same lenses?

Talked to the Ritz manager. Sigma produces most of them but basically they let it out to bid for ~4000 lenses/filters/whatnot and whoever get the low bid and meets the spec gets the project.

Back in the day, the quantary tech-10 stuff was the exact same as the nicer sigma stuff. Had a Quantaray Tech-10 24mm f2.8 and a 75-200 f2.8-3.5 that looked and worked as well as the Sigma brand. These days? I dunno!
