Well the price hikes in the US has definitely all to do with the weakness of the US dollar due to the fact that that the Federal Reserve has printed more money under "quantitative easing" to shore up the crap US economy.
FA Limited are getting cheaper where I am and there is ample stock

@eddie1960 - The Henry's outlet store of all places had a 12-24 for $700 marked down from $1200 last week. It was with the new stuff, but may have been open box or something along those lines as I didn't ask about it. Their main website still claims they want $1300 for one.

Wow, I guess that really puts it in perspective. I actually got my full set of all 3 FA limited lenses for 1700usd total (about 1200eur) over the past year. Granted they were used, but they were all pretty much mint and came with everything as new.

The FA Limited Line is out of production.
Only last pieces on stock.
No information that Pentax start the production again later.
Looks like,FA Limited is history.
Best regards,Andy

We've all heard this rumor before, and every time it's proven false.

I would wager a fair amount of money the FA limiteds are not going to be discontinued any time soon.

There's been talk of this since 2009. I'm not getting a 43 until it's 500 again. The FA LTDs are the draw for many customers new and old. I doubt they'll be discontinued any time soon.

Totally agree. I can't think of a good reason why Pentax would discontinue what is clearly a money maker for them. That said, I don't know if you'll see sub $500 prices on the 43 again, thanks in part to the very weak USD.

I for one want them to phase out the FA limiteds... and turn them into D FA WR Limiteds with quick-shift.
