Help identifying mount type...

This is probably a stupid question...but after much searching on the net I couldn't identify what mount this lens is. Can anyone help? It is a vivitar series 1 70-210mm f3.5 lens. I attached a photo (hopefully)...any help is appreciated.

Take a better picture, directly overhead view of the entire mount.

When ever I'm trying to figure out what a mount is and I can't really recognize it it usually means K/AR (Konica) but this is just a wild stab in the dark.

Yeah...sorry for the poor quality...here is another one from top. It has a weird flange of some kind going half way around where it slides in. I thought the side view was easier to see the flange.

After searching it is a Konica AR mount...I take it it is not compatible with my K-x?

Are there any 'notches' in any of the bayonet 'tabs'? I can't tell because of the glare.

If it is K/AR then no, it is not compatible with Pentax K mount.

This is by no means comprehensive...but this is always a good start for identifying lens mounts:

Yes it does look like a K/AR but is still tough to see. No it will not fit on your KX. Sorry dude.
